Areas Of Support

Depression Therapy

When you're dealing with depression, it can feel like a heavy weight on your shoulders. Persistent sadness, hopelessness, and a lack of interest in activities you once enjoyed make daily life challenging and exhausting.

Anxiety Therapy

Anxiety can show up as constant worry, fear of social situations, panic attacks, or specific phobias. It can make you feel restless, on edge, and unable to relax, impacting your ability to enjoy life and focus on tasks.

Stress
Management

Stress from work, family, or other life pressures can leave you irritable with little to no patience and often manifests as sleep problems or digestive issues.

Burnout & Feeling Overwhelmed

Burnout happens when you’re completely exhausted and emotionally drained, often feeling like you can’t keep up with your responsibilities. It’s a state of being so overwhelmed that even simple tasks feel insurmountable.

Trauma & PTSD Therapy

Trauma results from distressing experiences that leave a lasting impact. It can make you feel anxious, easily startled, and have difficulty feeling safe or trusting others.

ADHD Therapy

ADHD makes focusing, staying organized, and controlling impulses difficult. It can be frustrating to deal with frequent distractions, forgetfulness, and the struggle to complete tasks.

Anger Management

Struggling with anger means experiencing frequent and intense outbursts that are hard to control. This can leave you feeling regretful and might strain your relationships with others.

Grief & Loss

Grief involves profound sadness and longing after a significant loss. It can leave you feeling numb, struggling to move forward, and finding it hard to experience joy.

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

OCD involves intrusive thoughts and the need to perform certain actions repeatedly to ease anxiety. This can make you feel trapped in a cycle of unwanted thoughts and rituals, disrupting your daily life.

Reclaim control of your thoughts and experience life to its fullest.

How We Can Help

Our therapists and counsellors will support, guide, and empower you to live life on your terms using various modalities and techniques such as CBT, DBT, EFT, ACT, and more to aid the therapeutic process.

One-on-one sessions provide a personalized approach to therapy, starting with an intake session to understand your unique needs and goals. This allows us to tailor a treatment plan specifically for you, ensuring that our time together is focused on what matters most to your well-being.

CBT helps you identify and challenge negative thought patterns that contribute to your distress. By learning to reframe these thoughts, you can develop healthier behaviours and coping strategies, leading to improved mental health and resilience.

DBT combines cognitive-behavioural techniques with mindfulness practices to help you manage intense emotions and build better relationships. It’s particularly effective for those dealing with emotional dysregulation and self-destructive behaviours.

EFT focuses on understanding and transforming your emotional responses within relationships. It helps you unpack emotions and create secure and fulfilling connections by addressing underlying emotional issues and improving communication.

ACT encourages you to accept your thoughts and feelings rather than fighting them, while committing to actions that align with your values. This approach promotes psychological flexibility and helps you lead a more meaningful life.

Mindfulness practices teach you to stay present and fully engage with the current moment, reducing stress and anxiety. By cultivating a mindful approach to life, you can enhance your emotional regulation and overall well-being.

Developing self-compassion involves treating yourself with the same kindness and understanding you would offer a friend. This practice helps reduce self-criticism and fosters a more supportive inner dialogue.

Questions About Our Counselling Services

If you are feeling like life has become too difficult, you’re not enjoying life the way you want to, or there’s a specific issue you want to work through, therapy can help. If your mental health is preventing you from enjoying life to the fullest, book a free consultation with us to explore how working with a therapist could help.

You and your therapist will work together to develop a plan based on your goals. Our therapists are trained in multiple types of therapy and often use an integrative approach to tailor the support they are providing with the goals you are hoping to achieve.

Most people benefit from therapy. It can be hard work, and sometimes people feel worse before they feel better, as they are dealing with painful issues that need to be explored and felt before they can be healed. However, most people are glad that they embarked on this journey; they experience some relief in symptoms, gain a better understanding of themselves, and generally live life with more ease.

You will be meeting one-on-one with your therapist for your sessions. In the first session, your therapist will get to know you, and together, you will develop a plan for treatment. Later sessions will likely be a mixture of you talking and sharing information, your therapist offering their insights, and teaching you skills to help you cope and continue improving your mental health outside of sessions.

The length of time depends on your goals. Gaining self-awareness, and a deeper understanding of oneself takes some time. Learning skills and having some relief from specific symptoms can happen more quickly.
