Are you feeling anxious, overwhelmed or burnt out? Perhaps you have lost your way and are struggling with issues of trauma, loss, grief and feeling as though you do not have a voice. I know reaching out for help can be difficult and I am here to help you find your way, empower you to find your own truth and meaning and help you understand and work through the challenges you face. I will provide a safe, and inclusive space where you can take a breath and feel heard and supported. I utilize a holistic and trauma informed approach throughout the therapeutic process to accommodate and understand your unique experience, needs, and goals for therapy. I will offer a mindful compassionate perspective to help facilitate your healing and growth.
I am a Registered Clinical Social Worker and a Wilfrid Laurier University graduate with a Master’s degree in Social Work. I have over 20 years’ of experience working in Community Settings, Non for Profits and Clinical Medical settings. I specialize in the field of Mental Health, Addictions, Trauma and wellness. I am also an advanced yoga and meditation teacher, nature lover and I enjoy incorporating these aspects into my therapeutic work with clients. I have a deep love of community, collaboration, and meeting individuals wherever they are at on their healing journey and life path and empowering them to achieve wellness and find joy and meaning in their lives. I am passionate about my work and welcome the opportunity to connect with you.
Outside of work you will find me spending time in nature (which is my best therapy) with my husband and puppy, Scout; hiking and exploring new forests and trails; practicing yoga in our beautiful garden; volunteering with our local soup kitchen; enjoying time with my friends and family and planning my next adventure travelling the world.
