Do you feel like you’re trying to address symptoms without getting to the root cause of the problem? Are you struggling to support your child’s emotional or behavioural needs? Are you overwhelmed by feelings of worry, sadness, shame, or helplessness? My approach to therapy emphasizes the interconnectedness between the mind, emotions, body, and spirit, viewing individuals from a holistic perspective. I strive to understand each person’s unique needs, goals, and experiences, and collaborate on a plan that embraces and integrates all aspects of oneself and empowers clients to take an active role in their healing and wellbeing. I believe that relationships play a vital role in facilitating change and focus on cultivating a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust and compassion. Similarly, when working to support a child’s needs, I harness the power of parent-child relationships by prioritizing emotional connection and parent responsiveness to promote child wellbeing and set the stage for positive short term and long term outcomes. I integrate cognitive behavioural, emotion focused, and somatic techniques in my approach to treatment, and rely on other healing practices (e.g., mindfulness, breath work, inner child/parts work) and therapeutic modalities (e.g., Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) depending on the needs of my clients.

I completed my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Guelph in 2022 and have been working part time in private practice since 2015. I received my M.A. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Guelph and my B.A. in Honours Psychology from McGill University. I carried out my clinical residency at the Waterloo Consortium, where I provided assessment, treatment, and consultation for children and adolescents at Lutherwood Children’s Mental Health Centre, the University of Waterloo Centre for Mental Health Research and Treatment, and the Waterloo Region District School Board. I have also trained at the SickKids Centre for Community Mental Health in Toronto, the Centre for Psychological Services at the University of Guelph, and the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board.

During my free time, I enjoy being active, practicing yoga, travelling, and spending time outdoors with my dogs.
